About this artwork
This painting is one of the rare works I created en plein air, on a hot summer day, taking shelter in the forest. I was drawn to the dry road, where old wheel tracks had hardened into the surface, and to the shifting variety of trees and shadows around it.
I painted directly from the moment — following the movement of light, color, and the quiet rhythm of the path as it disappeared into green.
