Tiki is the first man created by either Tūmatauenga or Tāne according to the Māori mythology. He found the first woman, Marikoriko, in a pond; she seduced him and he became the father of Hine-kau-ataata. This is one of my favorites in cultural paintings collection. This is a original Batik painting done on calico fabric and mounted on stretched canvas and protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of Liquitex varnish.Framing is not required.…
