About this artwork
Freeze frame of a kangaroo on break taking a break. Canvas inspired by a very expressive photograph of the animal which takes an almost human posture. A survivor of Australian fires, hence his lively skinned appearance and foolproof title as he survived the fire.

« Humanize animals to disanimate humans. »
Moogly is an experienced artist from France whose work has been featured in exhibitions internationally. With a grandfather who was an illustrator, Moogly was inspired to draw from a young age and defined his current style in semi-abstract animal paintings using acrylic, lacquer, and resin. His work is characterized by the use of monochromatic color palettes and rich textures built up on the surface in splatters.
