The sculpture, oil on wood and aluminium, leads the viewer to detach himself from the mere surface, to investigate the true reality. The Moon craters, that is, the aluminum inserts, protrude from the blue background due to their corporeality and represent the union between the infinite and the finite, the immanent and the transcendent, the celestial and the terrestrial. They, in fact, unlike ordinary craters, usually depressions on the surface of… planets, protrude from the surface, because in their protrusion they expose all their features to the world, precisely to allow the observer to investigate the true nature of the material, the reliefs, the indentations, the harmonies created in the union of forms. The eurythmy that characterizes the entire work allows the observer to analyze the true nature of the material, its infinite characteristics and unlimited uses, making metal the true protagonist and étoile in the compositional dance of the work.
