The people depicted may be deceased relatives of the artist. It's not entirely clear. The culture of remembrance in the family is difficult. A lot was kept secret. Moritz Albert is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Belgium. His works center around themes relating to memory, identity and its formation, as well as personal introspection. Often employing models and photographs, Albert's narrative-based figurative compositions are primarily created with oils, acrylics, and lithography techniques on canvas or wood.
