About this artwork
The armor symbolizes an unspecified anxiety disorder (or F32 as a medical abbreviation for diagnosis). On the other hand, behaviors and systems that are installed out of security concerns can also restrict and become a burden for those who set them up.
The canvas used is a particularly fine fabric that is particularly well suited for fine portrait painting. It was not primed for this work, which in turn makes it much more difficult to paint on it.… The color adheres unevenly and cannot be assessed as accurately as usual. This way of working is a commentary on the anxiety disorder and how to deal with it. Frequently, work on these is not tackled out of shame or psychological hurdles. And even when it's edited, it's a tough road to deal with.
