“Split Desire” is rooted in the moment of sexual release—the instant where desire reaches its peak and transforms into a physical trace. The scattered white acrylic droplets evoke the presence of sperm, marking the surface with gestures that suggest orgasm, not as explicit depiction, but as residue of an intimate act.
The composition is sharply divided: one side deep black, absorbing and concealing; the other immersed in pink and red… tones, evoking flesh, heat, and arousal. This contrast reflects the tension within sexuality itself—the push between control and surrender, between internal restraint and external release.
In this work, sex is not only an act but a state of transformation. Orgasm becomes a point where the body loses boundaries and leaves behind evidence of desire. “Split Desire” captures that fragile crossing—where pleasure, instinct, and identity briefly dissolve into a single, irreversible moment.
