A CLOCKWORK ORANGE is a work belonging to the series "The Quarantine Move". Like all the pieces in this project, it is based on the artist's moods during the period of isolation imposed by the government in the midst of a pandemic. With a futuristic aesthetic, it is characterized by its warm colors and the diversity of geometric elements that make it up.
There is a strange link with the marked symbolism of the famous film by filmmaker Stanley Kubrick,… A Clockwork Orange. From the technical and stylized precision shown by the geometric and linear elements, a symbol of a logical and structured methodology, closely associated with the director's work. Even the uncontrolled stain and dirt present in the entire piece that break with an idealized aesthetic and that inevitably is linked to the aggressiveness and madness of Álex, the main protagonist of the film.

MURFY is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Through his figurative and abstract works, he translates anger, happiness, love, tension, uncertainty, courage, shock, and a multitude of sensations transformed into textures, colors and brushstrokes that provoke the viewer's gaze. MURFY's artistic practice is motivated by the search for new plastic resources and matierials that translate fluidity, thickness, rigidity, volatility, and three-dimensionality.
