About this artwork
Structures was born from the fusion between the hardness of lines of different thicknesses and the versatility offered by pictorial matter within modules and circular sequences. Broken elements, superimposed on each other, reveal the original nature of the pine wood support that merges at the same time with a composition of veiled stain with geometric shapes.
The basic composition resembles a broken glass, but marked by parallels and shades of… color in the use of the line. In many of these lines, fluor tones have been achieved with the mixture of materials that, in turn, are in tune with the circular elements that are reminiscent of the stained glass windows of the Güell Palace or the Holy Family.
The work itself, which has a totally disordered structure in its different layers of creation, achieves a global fusion by never losing the sectors formed by the lines of origin. The work can be placed both horizontally and vertically.

MURFY is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Through his figurative and abstract works, he translates anger, happiness, love, tension, uncertainty, courage, shock, and a multitude of sensations transformed into textures, colors and brushstrokes that provoke the viewer's gaze. MURFY's artistic practice is motivated by the search for new plastic resources and matierials that translate fluidity, thickness, rigidity, volatility, and three-dimensionality.
