About this artwork
This sculpture is based on the abstraction of a bone form. I used flowing lines to create movement throughout the piece, resulting in an undulating feminine form. I started this sculpture at an outdoor carving symposium in Marble Colorado, where this specific piece of Yule Marble was quarried. The sculpture has been sealed smooth and is suitable for either indoor or outdoor installation.

Myles Howell is a contemporary sculptor from the US with national exposure. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture from USU in 2013 and recently received a Masters Degree in Sculpture. Using various types of precious stone, Howell crafts sculptors that seem to float away from the ground despite the density of their medium.
