About this artwork
Fleeting Light is an abstract representation of a hip bone. My body of work is derived from things found in the desert, as well as desert landscapes. The stone is a Honeycomb Calcite, I love the glow that this stone has when light is present.

Myles Howell is a contemporary sculptor from the US with national exposure. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture from USU in 2013 and recently received a Masters Degree in Sculpture. Using various types of precious stone, Howell crafts sculptors that seem to float away from the ground despite the density of their medium.
