About this artwork
Myles created this piece as part of his series entitled Desert Visions. He took inspiration from the landscapes in the desert, as well as the items in nature he collected while living in the desert. This piece takes inspiration from bone forms. It is carved from limestone, and attached to a granite base.

Myles Howell is a contemporary sculptor from the US with national exposure. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture from USU in 2013 and recently received a Masters Degree in Sculpture. Using various types of precious stone, Howell crafts sculptors that seem to float away from the ground despite the density of their medium.
