N'Guessan Emile Auguste Gbede is a painter and sculptor based in the Ivory Coast whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Burkina Faso, Congo, and Germany. He describes his art as touching upon themes surrounding society. Gbede aesthetic and distinctive compositions speak of the past and the present. As he projects himself into the future, he continuously asks himself the questions, "who am I, who are we, and where are we going?".
