About this artwork
At the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 I was lucky enough to discover Colombia, I settled in the city of Medellín and in a short time I was immersed in all the beauty, the exuberant nature and fauna, at first they overwhelmed me but little by little I came out of that state of bewilderment and the only thing I wanted was to capture all that beauty on the canvas, coffee plantations, chontaduros, cocoa plants, granadillas, papayas, hydrangeas, tree… tomatoes, avocados, and its impressive landscapes.
If anything has changed in my view of the world after living in Colombia, it's COLOR. Vivid, pure, beautiful colors that convey a way of living, of dreaming, of seeing a very special world where ancient indigenous traditions coexist with a vision of an uncertain future, but always with color and nature as the protagonists.
Nacho Muñoz Cano, trained as a Higher Technician in Advertising Graphics, primarily uses watercolors, also experimenting with acrylic and graphite on unconventional supports such as canvas and wood. His techniques enhance landscapes and fruit-bearing details in his surroundings, highlighting the light and texture that envelop the scene. With a style that blends sensitivity and chromatic exploration, Nacho seeks to transport the viewer to a serene contemplation, conveying emotions linked to the beauty and stillness of nature through each brushstroke.
