About this artwork
This is an abstract expressionist painting. The figure has their back towards the viewer and is sitting on the ground. Most of the weight is shifted to the right hand and as a result the right shoulder is taking the weight and dispersing it throughout the back. This is a study of the human figure and how it contract and adjusts to movement. I have used very expressive and bold colours around the figure to highlight the central figure.
