About this artwork
This skyline was created as the second installment in my Skyline Iciness series. I'm fascinated by big cities and their skylines, especially in winter, when it's snowing. This fictional skyline depicts a view of a frozen lake, reflecting the lights of the distant city. A few particles incorporated into the paint make the snow and water sparkle. I painted the acrylic paint in parts, and applied it with a palette knife in parts. This results in an uneven, rather than smooth surface. All paintings are sealed with an acrylic finish.
