About this artwork
An abstract work of art, Blue Night plays on contrasts of brightness to offer an immersive visual experience. Nadine Hardy combines metallic paint and matte paint, creating a subtle dialogue between reflections and opacity. Depending on the viewing angle, the light slides over the surface, making the deep shades of black, blue and gray vibrate.
Working without any drawing or preliminary sketch, the artist lets chance guide his gesture, giving birth… to unpredictable and evocative forms. Everyone can project themselves into it and see what they want: mountain ridges lost in the mist, or an abstract landscape oscillating between storm and appeasement.
With Blue Night, Nadine Hardy invites the viewer on an introspective journey, where matter and light constantly transform as the gaze changes.
Ready to hang: 2 cm deep wooden frame (white) to hang the painting. This does not add any cm in length or width.
Nadine Hardy's intention is to find harmony in order or disorder through color. The abstract painter, who is based in France, believes that through color, one can translate signs, symbols, and emotions. Hardy feels that it is both a link and a point of reference between what we see and what we feel through the lens of our personal experience, cultural roots and environment. Her bold pieces are created using acrylics on wood.
