About this artwork
Nadine Hardy wants the observer, visual witness to attend a show so that he discovers different aspects with each glance and that the work ends up enveloping it. In front of the work only the interior space of the spectator is revealed to him. Everything now depends on his imagination leaving free his sensory approach.
The silhouettes are free figurations. They can represent people, passers-by, the viewer. Between order and disorder, the artist… reflected on the idea of a movement shaped by a passage of lines and colors. The simple rhythms characterized by vertical lines or intertwined geometric shapes, silhouettes emerging announce a passage like a parade. The illusion of movement is generated by the contrast of colors and the play of shapes. The artist leads the eye to see the image move. The combination of bright colors and large areas of paint create dynamism and an essence of optimism.
Nadine Hardy's intention is to find harmony in order or disorder through color. The abstract painter, who is based in France, believes that through color, one can translate signs, symbols, and emotions. Hardy feels that it is both a link and a point of reference between what we see and what we feel through the lens of our personal experience, cultural roots and environment. Her bold pieces are created using acrylics on wood.
