About this artwork
The gaze goes elsewhere – not out of shyness, but out of breadth.
Thoughts are where words are not enough.
In “Drift” the focus shifts: we look, but she doesn’t have to look back at us.
She's not there for us. She's there for herself.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Nadine Koetz, a self-taught artist from Cologne, primarily uses acrylic paint combined with charcoal. She experiments with abstract and figurative acrylic painting on large formats, often creating a color palette of two or three primary colors. Her art draws on themes from real life and embodies the intense feeling of her existence as a woman, mother, and daughter, using intuitive and often destructive techniques to highlight the true feeling. Her emotionally charged works reflect life's constant transformation and convey her unique exploration of personal burdens and joys.
