Nadja Haesters uses watercolor, gouache, water-soluble oil paints, and colored pencils, bringing with her a background broadened by self-study as well as VHS and online courses. Her works are sketchy, often visibly accompanied by pencil strokes, and oscillate between realistic representation and lively sketch. Her subjects—animals, botany, and people—draw on her deep connection to nature.
