Nancy Hayes is an American artist whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States. For over twenty-five years her preferred medium was clay, with which she created three-dimensional lifeforms using a pattern to articulate the surface. Hayes turned to painting in order to expand her artistic vision and to not only portray distinctive organic and vibrant life-forms, but also the environment in which they inhabit.
