About this artwork
In creating this piece I fused acrylic, oil, and India ink with touches of gilding to portray the beauty in transition. This semi-abstract cloud, with its silver linings and birds in flight, speaks to hope amid change. It's minimal, yet profound—crafted to inspire and bring a serene yet dynamic energy into any space.

« I aim to make the mundane fascinating and to shine a spotlight on the overlooked things in life. »
Nancy Joyce is an American mixed-media artist who is interested in the concepts of time and circles, which she explores through themes such as flowers gone to seed, wheels and the flight patterns of birds. Layers are an important part of Joyce’s work. She builds up her paintings with handmade papers, modelling paste, acrylics and oils, often sanding down certain sections for extra texture and depth. Joyce has become increasingly interested in the female experience, with her ethereal works exploring the multifaceted relationship that women have with time.
