As with most of Nancy's work, the painting begins with "random order".
The primer coat is black gesso upon which the colors build only to be submerged with whites. The work proceeds randomly until a composition emerges. Large paintings are very challenging and this one was no exception. The title usually comes upon completion when viewing...the title is the first impression that comes to mind.
