About this artwork
Sculpture carved in White Carrara marble.
Usually I work inspired by elements of the nature without a defined shape, like the water, the clouds, the fire, etc... All these elements appear with a continuous changing form and I try to represent this continuous movement on my works.

« Rather than a particular message, I prefer to work with sensations. Abstraction allows this type of open message, where each person can reach different sensations with the same sculpture. »
Nando Álvarez is an experienced Spanish sculptor whose works have been exhibited in group shows internationally. Álvarez grew up spending his summers learning to work with stone in sculptors' workshops. Inspired by nature and elements in a continuous state of movement, he creates textured sculptures out of stone, marble, and bronze that mimic the dynamism of waves and water, wind and fire.
