About this artwork
Adaption is a captivating abstract painting, a fresh take on a piece from the artist's past. Echoing the bold spirit of Fauvism and incorporating geometric elements, this original acrylic on canvas artwork draws inspiration from Japanese art and aesthetics.
The layered composition features a striking interplay of red hues, reminiscent of oriental art. The careful application of paint creates depth and texture, inviting the viewer to explore the… nuances of the work. The numbers '2', '5', and '7' are subtly integrated, adding an intriguing layer of symbolism.
Something I very rarely do, I 'copied' from a painting I did about 20 years ago, in turn that old painting was inspired by Japanese art and aesthetics.
