About this artwork
The artwork "Full Moon Wishes" was painted in April, 2020, during the difficult time of quarantine for COVID-19, when millions of people on the planet suffered from psychological distress, disorder, frustration, and a sense of isolation. And to overcome all hardships caused by pandemic as never before they needed to keep hope.
The painting depicts the full moon which is considered to be a symbol of wishes fulfillment. Make a positive wish for yourself… and the world!
This is an original, one-of a kind artwork painted in impasto technique using a palette knife and thickened acrylic paints. This technique not only creates a three-dimensional impression, but it also adds richness and dramatic effect to the artwork. Dimensions of the artwork: 20" x 24" x 0.7" in., canvas. Signed on the front.
Natalia Kutova, a self-taught Ukrainian-born artist in San Diego, wields a palette knife and acrylics to sculpt impasto masterpieces. Her florals and trees metamorphose into visual metaphors, rejecting literal representation for profound meaning. Her work vibrates with life, inviting viewers into a textured world where emotions are tangible and every bloom tells a story.
