About this artwork
The idea of taking a break, logging out for a few minutes... led me to set up this photo shoot in the Rhein river. Maybe the subject will decide to never go back to the rat race! Take a breath. Go with the flow.
In this painting i have used the technique called "Cloisonné". I use my own photograph which i first work on in photoshop, and then i project and trace it onto a canvas. The paints i use are liquid, resulting in this brush-free, graphic… look.

Natalie Corman is a passionate artist based in Switzerland, who has exhibited her work in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. She is fascinated by the space between visual perception and the evocation of emotion. Natalie is unapologetically creative and works in many different media. What inspires her most is connecting with people, be it through the creative process, or talking about the finished works. One of her recurring themes is juxtaposition, combining for example a crane and a famous art museum, or a skull rendered in beautiful flowers.
