About this artwork
'Heavenly Realms' is a deliberately abstract work on a canvas that was clamped in a baroque frame. Deliberately abstract, because in the baroque age the painting was mostly realistic and either portraits, landscapes or still lifes were shown. The style break was brought about consciously and the observer may be irritated at first glance, but then he recognizes the beauty in the combination of old and new.

Natalie Schwarz is a German painter who has exhibited on a national level as well as in France, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. Both her abstract and realistic pieces speak of acceptance, hope, joy and beauty. Inspired by her religious beliefs, Schwarz also incorporates visions, dreams and poetic verses into her compositions. She creates using acrylics, mixed media, alcohol inks and resin.
