About this artwork
'Broken' is a three-part piece, which consists of three chipboards that have been primed and sealed and completed with a lot of effort and precision work through various disciplines. Alcohol inks were used, as well as numerous layers of high-quality resin and gold plating. White pattern spray combines with the acrylic layer and binds to the delicate alcohol ink motif. Lines run through the resin in the surface.
The artist interprets it this way:… the more something suffers that you love, the more you indulge in healing it. Of care. Trying to save it. Beauty often emerges from suffering. The scars make it all the more beautiful. Excellent.
The special thing about it: The pictures 'float' through a frame and stand out from the wall. The frame also provides LED lights that can be regulated by USB or battery and motion sensors depending on the daylight. WOW!
Since it is very heavy: Matching heavy-duty hooks for the wall are included.
