About this artwork
'Islands' is a three-part set consisting of three chipboards that have been primed and sealed and raised with pink alcohol ink patterns and gray and white plaster of paris. Everything was finished with several layers of resin. The 'islands' were painted with acrylic paints and finished with white coconut scented sand.

Natalie Schwarz is a German painter who has exhibited on a national level as well as in France, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. Both her abstract and realistic pieces speak of acceptance, hope, joy and beauty. Inspired by her religious beliefs, Schwarz also incorporates visions, dreams and poetic verses into her compositions. She creates using acrylics, mixed media, alcohol inks and resin.
