About this artwork
This work was inspired by the idea of inner contrast - the tension between calm and unrest, light and shadow. The face is divided into two emotional states, suggesting how complex and layered human feelings can be beneath a quiet surface.
The artist hopes viewers will recognize parts of themselves in this image - moments of doubt, reflection, strength, and vulnerability existing at the same time. The work invites a silent pause and personal interpretation.…
Gel printing was chosen to build multiple textured layers, giving the surface depth and movement. Fine liner drawing brings structure and precision into the organic background. The combination of black ink, soft skin tones, and turquoise blue creates a moody, emotional atmosphere that feels both fragile and strong. Mixed media allows imperfection, which fits the subject of inner conflict and emotional authenticity.

I am an artist born in Belarus and have lived in Germany for 25 years. My artistic journey began early: I attended an art school in Belarus for six years, and later studied fashion design in Minsk. These formative experiences have profoundly influenced my understanding of form, color, and material, and continue to form the basis of my style.
After many years of personal and professional development, I have consciously placed my art at the center of my life and pursue the goal of exhibiting my works and making them accessible to an international audience.
In my work, I use acrylic paints, fineliners, and experimental mixed-media techniques. Thematically, I explore emotions, personality, and inner strength. My works combine vibrant layers of color with clean lines and move between contemporary figuration and poetic abstraction. Human beings are my primary source of inspiration.
