For this artwork, we chose to place it on a wooden sculpture representing a human body. Standing 2.50 meters tall, this combination of materials and… techniques explores dualities: nature and culture, raw and polished, body and thought. The apple, a symbol laden with meaning (knowledge, temptation, life), becomes here an identity, a head, a center of reflection resting upon a body rooted in matter.
Nathalie Garau is a sculptor who passionately shapes recycled paper, creating unique and contemporary sculptural works. Through innovative techniques, she transforms this material into graphic volumes with vibrant hues, where pop aesthetics and singularity are omnipresent. Her works, inspired by the memory of words and the poetry of everyday life, exude a luminous energy, a joyful force, and invite us to see ordinary materials with fresh eyes, imbued with emotion and reverie.
