Nessa is a French intuitive painter. Abandoning the academicism and strict techniques that she learnt at art school, Nessa’s gestures are instinctive, driven by raw emotion and born in a complete abandonment of herself. In Nessa’s works, natural pigments worked into oil and Indian ink bind and oppose in a vitalist impulse, evoking serene landscapes, meditative beaches and an almost dreamlike exoticism.
