This work is a very detailed painting, bold color blending with acrylics and oil pastels, lots of drips and big palette knife strokes. Lots of light, iridescent purple and fast changes in contrast in between different shades of yellow, purple, deep green and magenta. This work (as they all do) needs to be seen in person as photos can not convey the intricate detail and feeling that… can only be experienced when viewing the full sized painting!

This work uses high quality acrylics and is done on a gallery wrapped canvas with no need to frame with beautifully painted edges to complement the work. Nestor Toro is a dedicated American artist whose works have been exhibited throughout Los Angeles. Influenced by his many travels and a consequent appreciation for cultural difference, he infuses each abstract painting with a vibrant and rich colour palette, designed to reflect this energy of difference and discovery. Toro takes additional inspiration from aquariums - their coordinated fluidity and the movement of sea life in confined spaces - and seeks to connect this to the spaces on his canvases.
