About this artwork
This was not a beach day. He was walking all alone along the shore for miles without meeting another soul. Feeling the cold chilling wind but needing his dose of the ocean. The winter beach transformed into a freezing cool desolate landscape of ice and snow, a scene that takes on the look of the arctic. Large swathes of sand without any footprints. A crisp frozen shoreline offers so much peace. Just don’t forget to snuggle into toasty warm wooly…

On a naturel background I used the colors off-white, ochre cinnamon brown, a dash of pink and the darkest midnight blue. Here and there the organic formed natural blue parts are painted in somewhat thicker layers, very tactile and visible. Minimalist but with so many hidden details that makes it a very special yet peaceful and subtle painting. All on a big scale, this is a BIG mysterious painting no doubt. A real centerpiece. It’s currently hanging in my living room, and I can’t stop looking at it!
