About this artwork
'Untitled I' incorporates Malone's preoccupations with writing and transformation. Lines from his poetry interact with spray paint and liquid acrylic; the canvas being manipulated to form hills and valleys over which the paint is poured allowing chance and subsequent interventions to form rivers and pools of dried paint.
