About this artwork
Winter landscape from 1974 on cardboard, 43x48cm, passe-partout and framed, 67x73cm
In this work, I have captured the stillness and cold of winter, but also the delicate interplay of colors in the sunset sky. The bold outlines of the trees contrast with the soft snowscape, conveying a blend of tranquility and quiet energy. Using tempera, I wanted to emphasize the texture, so that the painting lends your room a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere.
Nicola Quici is an Italian-German painter, graphic artist and sculptor with EU Gold Medal. where his works have been and continue to be exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. He uses art as a means of communicating passions and emotions, creating new futuristic and semi-abstract paintings that cross stylistic boundaries to explore a form of expression. The artist sends the viewer on a journey of discovery. Quici's aim is - evidently - the absolute interplay of colour and form. This is most evident in depictions that consist of just a few brushstrokes.
