“I regard the self-portrait as a resonance chamber of my own inner self.
In the layers of fluorescent paint, what often remains hidden is revealed – silence, pain, longing, hope, the desire to do good, to help, and the silent expression of this.
The work thus becomes… my quiet but unwavering voice in dialogue with the world: a manifesto, a prayer, a reminder that light exists even in the midst of chaos.
As an artist, woman, and mother, I seek the universal connection here – between inside and outside, between self and community, between transience and eternity.” Nicole Jutka
Nicole Jutka, born in Bucharest and with a background in painting, fashion, and graphic design, uses fluorescent pigments, classical painting, sculpture, and digital media. Deeply fascinated by the interplay of light and darkness, she creates "sculptural paintings" that unfold different dimensions under changing light, playing with perspectives, colors, and textures. Her works convey hope, light, and love as luminous forces that break through darkness, inviting visitors on an emotional, spiritual journey full of adventure and discovery.
