The order of elements here is quite fascinating: the figures rendered first, and then “overlapped” by semi-abstract, architectural iconography. Note the classic, strong, fluted column that seems supporting the piece. All this strengthens the sense that these classical figures are not merely part of the painting and narrative - they are also currently creating it, building it themselves. Nika Armine is an established artist from Armenia whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. Inspired to create ever since she was a kid, she now paints semi-abstract works in oil on canvas that explore themes of humanity and positivity.
