The artist had an idea to create some small versions of the word paintings, for people like herself with small houses and small walls, and also with the idea that they could be hung 2 or 3 together as the colours bounce off one another, but without the need for a huge space.

Needless to say she never got around to photographing them, but fortunately she had written the text on the back of the canvas to make… deciphering them easier.

Niki Hare is a self-taught British artist who has exhibited her work internationally. Principally exploring ideas of existence and the individual’s perception, she spontaneously creates works that play with layers and narratives, offering a multitude of potential interpretations in her emphasis on the temporary. Hare's pieces ultimately act as a visual diary, and appear bright, intentional and complex.
