Nikolai Kraneis is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Poland. In addition, his art is featured in the permanent collection of the Art Muzeum in Katwijk, Netherlands. An avid birdwatcher since the age of seventeen, Kraneis translates this passion into his works, which mainly portray birds. He characterizes his artistic expression as a fusion of contemporary realism with post-neo-impressionism.
