About this artwork
Painting: acrylic, tempera on canvas, paper.
This elaborate work was created in April 2020. The bad news from all sides, the uncertainty and sadness, but also hope and courage have shaped this picture. A common goal, a vision of a different, better future for all of us, which is symbolized by the blue sky in my picture. The tree that sprouts from darkness to light is the best evidence - we don't give up.
The canvas is pasted with tissue paper… and painted with several layers of black tempera. In the middle of the picture she applied more layers of acrylic paint by hand.
She uses her fingers to work out details. This work contains many structures, including on the sides, and is covered with 2 layers of matte finish. When it comes ready to hang, all you need to do is attach the bracket you want.

« I go my way in my pictures. Spontaneity is key and my preferred method. A struggle with myself, an endless struggle over colors and motifs as a rough internal dialogue. »
