About this artwork
Before technology spread around the world and life became easy around everywhere. Their ancestors managed to do the work manually, where they used a lot of energy while today everything is easy and fast. They ate flour of different kinds of grains that came through their sweats.
Wooden mold is also used to produce vegetable paste known as isombe where they crushed manioc leaves into wooden mold by using thick wooden sticks to make it paste and boil… it in hot water and mixed with beef meats.
Even though they have that technology machines that can crush every kind of grain or vegetables in a couple minutes or possible short time, a lot of people are still using this wooden mold to produce flours and paste at home.
