About this artwork
Each piece in the Connecting-Brains collection is a representation of people in society together as a collective.
These paintings are a reminders of the importance of connection, relationships and collaboration.
I started them 10 years ago, in a time where I felt myself very disconnected and separated. Though the practice of painting these faces with the both hands simultaneously, I understood the importance of the connection of the two hemispheres,… the left and right brain halves. It taught me about the practice of balancing the two, the emotional and rational, the logic and creative, the heart and mind.
Through this practice I felt balance coming into my own life and I started to feel connected to myself and the world around me.
These paintings have a strong healing effect on me and I wish the same for everyone who looks at them. Now I create them for everyone, to inspire paying attention mental health, social justice and collaboration.

Noemi Manser is an artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been exhibited in the United States. Through her art, she endeavors to "return us" to a "Global Brain Consciousness” state, wherein we are all connected. Manser believes that if humanity makes decisions in unison, with both heart and mind, "we can approach the world and its conflicts in a healthy and balanced mindset".
