In my work I let acrylic, watercolor and colored pencils merge in an explosion of abstraction and expressionism. Through the semi-abstract design I invite the viewer to discover their own interpretations and feelings. The dynamic, surprising elements are intended to bring energy and inspiration to every room, a constant source of curiosity and joy. This work of art is a dialogue with the… world that never ends.
Nora Kalinda, born in 1976 in Vienna, has her studio in Lackenbach, Mittelburgenland, Austria.
Nora gives artistic expression to her inner worlds on different media, such as paper, canvas, various printing techniques and also digitally.
Her paintings, which depict her inner microcosm, are full of various mythical creatures, funny animals and mythical figures. Her works are humorous and colourful, full of lightness, dynamism and joie de vivre.
Nora loves it when her pictures inspire people to pareidolia – that is, they stimulate the imagination and help to discover faces in things, giving the viewer a feeling of childlike joy of discovery.
