This picture is part of the larger series "Primary Aspects".
The picture "Bird" shows a sketchy bird drawn with black lines. The bird is placed on the right side of the picture and looks to the left. The minimalist depiction of the bird is striking, especially the fine lines that indicate the wings and beak. The bird wears a small, stylized crown on its head to emphasize its importance.
The background is predominantly white, interspersed with… various splashes of color and structures. There are vibrant reds, blues and yellows that give the image dynamism. A large yellow gate in the bottom center of the image is particularly eye-catching. Around the bird and in the background there are abstract shapes, dots and spots that look like leaves or flowers, which gives the image a natural atmosphere. It is a playful, free image that allows room for personal interpretation.
