About this artwork
“movement” is a fluid, energetic composition that captures the moment between stillness and dynamism. With a reduced color palette of blue, black, gray, and delicate whites, the work opens up a space where everything is in flux – forms, lines, thoughts.
Expressive brushstrokes and organic lines encircle figurative fragments that appear and disappear – like bodies or beings in a constant state of transformation. Small dots, fragments of writing,… and blurred traces underscore the feeling of pushing forward, of searching for rhythm and balance.
“movement” acts like a snapshot of life: a play of impulse and calm, of chaos and harmony – a visual echo of movement that never ends.

Nora Kalinda, born in 1976 in Vienna, has her studio in Lackenbach, Mittelburgenland, Austria.
Nora gives artistic expression to her inner worlds on different media, such as paper, canvas, various printing techniques and also digitally.
Her paintings, which depict her inner microcosm, are full of various mythical creatures, funny animals and mythical figures. Her works are humorous and colourful, full of lightness, dynamism and joie de vivre.
