“VAYU” – named after the Vedic god of wind – is a delicate, poetic composition that captures lightness, movement, and nature in subtle lines and transparent layers of color. With a gentle palette of yellow-orange, green, gray, and earthy accents, it creates a visual interplay of rhythm and stillness, dynamism and breath.
The organic forms are reminiscent of plants, fragments of landscapes, or winds sweeping across an imaginary surface. Delicate… lines and calligraphic suggestions lend the work an almost meditative quality. “VAYU” is an invitation to engage with the ephemeral – with the movement between inside and outside, the visible and the invisible.
A work that exudes tranquility while simultaneously making vibrant energy palpable.
Nora Kalinda, born in 1976 in Vienna, has her studio in Lackenbach, Mittelburgenland, Austria.
Nora gives artistic expression to her inner worlds on different media, such as paper, canvas, various printing techniques and also digitally. Her paintings, which depict her inner microcosm, are full of various mythical creatures, funny animals and mythical figures. Her works are humorous and colourful, full of lightness, dynamism and joie de vivre. Nora loves it when her pictures inspire people to pareidolia – that is, they stimulate the imagination and help to discover faces in things, giving the viewer a feeling of childlike joy of discovery.
