"Lapidosus" is a study of stones, very simple stones that the nature of the sea created in this formation. In the Wadden Sea, a small lake has formed in which these stones are on display. The painter uses a palette that transcends the natural coloring of the scene and thus translates it into the surreal in a certain way. The picture then becomes an exaggeration of reality.
