About this artwork
The picture “Nubes” should evoke the idea of an expressionist landscape in the viewer. Composition and colors suggest such an association. In the upper half of the picture, clouds and mountains flow into one another and merge into a dramatic whole. In the lower part of the picture pink, blue-violet and emerald-green streaks and bands run out and, in contrast to what is happening in the upper half of the picture, come to rest; the view of a landscape…
